As the director at VIP I make it my personal interest to assure you have a fun-filled, safe and social time while you stay in Vancouver, whether you are an individual, a group or a student entering our educational system. Our approach at VIP is to show you the sights in Vancouver, to do activities that are unique to Vancouver, and to support you during your stay with a Canadian family.
I bring my educational background in Forestry and my experience of eighteen years working in recreation to give you a truly British Columbian approach to your stay here in Vancouver. I want you to experience living like a Canadian in Vancouver, where our cultural diversity and beautiful scenery are mixed with year round activities, great weather and lots to do-even when it rains!!
I have worked for the City of Richmond in Leisure Services, various non-profit associations and societies in recreation with the physically and mentally disabled and in the rainforest all over coastal British Columbia. I am honoured to show my beautiful Province and the city of Vancouver to everyone who wishes to see them.
My wish is that you leave Vancouver wanting to come back here again having built strong relationships with your host family and with other students.
"As I moved around the sides of the giant cedar I was looking into the eyes of a 300 pound black bear. I froze and so did the bear, he did not run away. I looked down and noticed I was standing on the blueberry bush he wanted to eat."

As the counsellor and manager at VIP, I am always concerned about what your interests are and what you want to accomplish while in Vancouver.
I remember when I first came to Canada as an international student, I had a great opportunity to meet many different people and to learn new things here.
People in Vancouver were very friendly and welcomed me into their lives.
Poor English? No problem! None of my friends believed that I could live in Canada with my poorly spoken English. I realized the most important part of learning English is to trust yourself and to try hard, and then you will succeed.
There are many differences between Vancouver and your home, enjoy the differences between our cultures. I hope your experience in Vancouver will give you a different perspective on life.
I bring my experience of ten years working and running business' in the hospitality/ tourism industry to ensure you have a wonderful time here in Vancouver.
"I am here to support you with a big warm heart! I am here to share in your inspiration."
