The beach is on Boundary Bay which is sheltered and has ideally calm waters, but therefs a catch. The tide goes out two kilometers at boundary bay!!! Come and skimboard in the tidal flats or walk out on kilometers of sand at low tide. Feel the rush of surfing while riding a skimboard in the tidal flats in 10cm of water. You can do kick flips, nose grabs, 180fs, 360fs and most tricks people do on skateboards or snowboards. The tide stays out long enough to give you the opportunity to explore the sand flats or build a sand castle.
Boundary Bay is ideal for swimming, boating, bodyboards and kayaking at high tide. As the tide comes in the water washes over kilometers of sand that have been heated all morning in the sun. The result is the water in Boundary Bay is as warm as a bath-not a Japanese bath of course, a Canadian bath!!!!!
